Happy Birthday Sky!! I can't believe that you are 11; you are growing up way too fast. You are at such a great age, I wish that I could just freeze time. You are old enough to do fun things with, and have great conversations with; but still young enough that you still like us and like to do things with us. You are such a wonderful kid. I'm so lucky to be your mom. I'm so grateful to my Heavenly Father that he sent you to our family. You are a huge help to me, and you never complain when you are asked to do things. You are great at so many things. You do well in school, basketball, and pretty much anything that you touch is great. You also have a great testimony; and you always try to do what is right. Well, enough with the sappy talk. Last Sunday we had a family party for you. It was a lot of fun. Everyone came over for dinner and cake. We have quite a big group now that Adam and his family live here. The only ones missing were Aaron and his family-and we do miss them a lot. For your cake you wanted something to do with basketball, since that is all that is on your mind. So I decided to do a jersey and a ball. Since you love Jimmer, we did a Kings jersey with his number, but added your name instead. It turned out really well. You also got a lot of fun presents. Uncle Trav and Aunt Kirby (it's still kind of weird to say that), gave you a book about Jimmer and you have already read a lot of it. It was a fun night.
You and your cake.

Today we opened presents from the family. Since you are turning 11 and moving up to Boy Scouts, we got you some things that you needed for your campouts. Who knew that scouting would be so expensive?? Taylor was really cute, she insisted on buying you a present with her own money. I love it. She bought you a whistle and your favorite candy. You also got a Lego set that your really wanted. Another fun thing that I love to do on birthdays is to check you out of school for lunch. Today you chose to go to Costa Vida. It was so much fun, and I loved spending that time with you. You had so much to talk about from school, it was great. Hopefully the rest of the day is good too. Just know that we love you so much and are glad that you are a part of our family. Happy Birthday!!

Kind of a funny picture; wearing your new Jazz hat with your Celtics shirt. Two of your favorite teams.
