St. Patrick's Day
For St. Patrick's Day this year, I thought it would be fun to make an all green dinner. We have done this before, but I wanted to do a little more this year. For me it is just fun, and the kids think it is great. We started off the day with green pancakes. For their lunches, they had everything green-grapes, celery, green powerade, a green sandwich, and a green treat. Then for dinner we made green pizza dough and green breadsticks along with green jello and mint brownies. It was a blast! After dinner, the kids spent over an hour making a leprechaun trap. I don't know why they decided to, but it kept them busy. They were pretty creative with what they came up with. They taped pennies all over a box, and rigged a string attached to a plastic cup to drop when the last penny was picked up. They thought that they would for sure catch one. In the morning, all the money was gone and there was no leprechaun-can you believe they didn't catch one!
