Week trip to St. George

Two days after we got home from the O'Farrell trip, the kids and I got back in the car and headed down to St. George for a week with the Holmes side.  Every year we go down south for a week.  Most people think we are crazy because it is so hot, but we love it.  We love to swim and just be lazy.  This year my sister and her kids came and so did our sister-in-law.  The boys all stayed home to work, and came down Thursday night.  It was another fun week.  We spent a lot of time at the pool.  The kids couldn't spend enough time there.  It's fun now that they're getting older and love to do more things.  We also did a quick hike in the morning at the "crack".  We do this hike almost every time we go to St. George.  It is a mini slot canyon that is perfect for the kids.  Here are a few pics from the trip.

There is a drink place in St. George that has become really popular.  It is called "Swig".  We had heard that they have the best drinks around.  Especially their dirty drinks.  So we had to go try it out.  We ended up going there a few times.  They had a great dirty diet coke.  Basically to make it dirty, they add coconut syrup to your drink.  They have all sorts of different drinks.  The boys loved the dirty dr. pepper and the mango mtn. dew was really good too.  We'll definitely be stopping at Swig every time we go.

Here is a picture of us hiking at the crack.  This was Kirby's first time here.  It was a fun hike.  We all went through once, and then Kirby took some of the kids again.

The kids had a blast at the pool.  They all loved jumping off the diving board, especially Drew.  I couldn't believe that she actually did it.  She walked right up there and jumped off.  It was awesome.  No fear in this girl.

The girls had fun showing off their core strength.

I had to put this picture in.  She loved wearing this swim cap along with her snorkel gear.  She looked so cute walking around the pool.

Drew was such a fish.  I'm glad she likes the water.

Sky turned this tube into a hoop so he could practice dunking.

Drew was so tired that when I put her in the bath after swimming one day she fell asleep.  I was sitting in the bathroom reading when all of a sudden she stopped talking.  I checked on her and found her like the top picture.  I rolled her over, washed her hair and she still didn't wake up. I guess she really was tired.  So funny.

These last pictures are in the car on the way home.  The A/C went out in Nephi.  Let's just say it was a long hot ride home.  It was still over 100 degrees outside.  I found some wipes that had dried up and dumped water all over them.  The kids were really good.  I'm just glad it was only from Nephi to home and not the whole way.  Always an adventure with us!
