Today was Sky and Tay's first day of school. This was a day that we all have been dreading for a while. I hate when I have to send my kids back to school in July; but to make it even harder, this year the kids are all starting at a new school. We are moving in a few months and we figured it would be easier to have them start at their new school rather than transfer a few months into it. This has not been easy on any of us, especially the two older kids. I have been worried sick about this day for months. Sky had a rough night, he was so worried about how this day would go. Once I got them off to school, I came home and cried for most of the day. I was so worried about them all day. The day could not have been any longer for me. I was so grateful when it was time to go pick them up. I waited for them to come out and they both did with smiles on their faces. They said their day was great, and better than they expected. They both love their teachers and I'm hoping that it is going to be a great year. Sky looked at me and said, "Now I'm okay to move, we got the hardest part over." He found a couple of kids to play basketball with, and he seems to fit right in with them. Taylor is already talking about new friends that she made. This day really couldn't have gone any better in my mind. I had all sorts of terrible situations going through my mind, so I am grateful for the outcome. I know someone is really watching out for us.
Sky looks really nervous. Tay was the one I was most worried
about, but she loved it!
I can't believe these kids are going into 6th and 4th grade.
