Our Trip to Hawaii

I can't believe that our trip has already come and gone.  You plan it so far in advance, and wait for so long, that when it is over you can't believe it.  We had so much fun on our trip.  The kids were awesome, and had a blast!  The trip went by way too fast, and we can't wait to go again someday.  Our plan left on a Saturday night and we got to Hawaii Sunday morning at 5:45am.  It was nice that the kids slept for a lot of the plane ride, but the adults didn't.  Add in the time change, and we were all messed up for a few days.  My kids were so tired every night, they were asleep by 7 (which is 10 our time).  I guess adding beach, pool, and sun to that wears you out too.  When we got there our condo wasn't ready for us to check in so we changed into our suits in the car and hit the beach.  It was so nice to feel some warm sun and soak it all in.  The kids loved playing in the water and in the sand.

Tay and Drew taking a little break

Drew loved digging in the sand, she was in heaven.

After we played at the beach and pool for a while, we decided we should find something to eat.  We hadn't been to the store yet, so we found a place for lunch.  The kids were all so tired from the long travel day, they all crashed waiting for our food.  It was a funny site.

This place was cool, it overlooked the beach.

After we got all set up in the condo, we got cleaned up and went for a walk.  The hotel right by where we stayed had a lot of fun stuff for the kids.  The first night we were there they did a fire show.  The kids loved it.  They did a 30 minute show doing all sorts of neat tricks.  It was really cool.  After they let everyone come up and get a picture with two of them.  Sky was excited to hold the torch and they gave the girls these really pretty flowers that were huge.

Cam didn't make the picture, she had fallen asleep at the end of the show, and didn't want to get in the picture.

The next day we hit the beach again.  The kids were so excited to try boogie boarding.  They were so fun to watch.  They are so light, that the waves just take them in.  Taylor would wait for the wave and just plop down on it and ride it in.  Sky and Tay spent a long time boogie boarding and loved it.

Getting ready to ride the wave in.

This was a pretty good shot of Tay and Sky.

I loved the picture of Tay.

Cam even tried boogie boarding.  She didn't like it the first day; the waves weren't so nice to her; but by the end of the week we couldn't get her off of it.

Coming in after a rough crash.

Drew loved the water too.  She loved to race up to the waves and jump them.  I was surprised at how brave she was.  She spent hours doing this.  She got knocked down a few times, but always got up with a huge smile on her face.

Hawaii was so pretty, and we lucked out with great weather.  We had one rainy day, but other than that, it was awesome.  The beaches are amazing and it was so fun to spend time with the whole family.  Life gets so crazy and busy around here; it was nice to slow down for a week and enjoy being together.

I'll post more pictures soon.  I only took around 400.
