Hawaii Part 2

One day we decided to take the kids to the Dole Plantation.  We went on a train ride around the farm and went through a huge maze.  The kids had a great time and I actually learned quite a bit about pineapples.

After the kids all wanted to have their picture taken as a pineapple.

An interesting fact about pineapples that I never knew.  They grow from the ground, I don't know why I always thought they grew on trees.  Also it takes about 20 month for the first pineapple to be ready to be picked.  I never knew it took that long.  I guess the next time I eat pineapple, I will enjoy it a little more.

After the plantation tour, we headed into Waikiki.  This was the only day we spent there. It was fun to go see stuff, but I'm glad we stayed on the North Shore.

The kids and Andrew loved snorkeling, they couldn't get enough.  I love to just sit on the beach, so it was nice for Andrew to have someone to go with.  They saw a lot of cool fish and turtles while the snorkeled.  I'm glad they had fun.

Andrew and the girls getting ready to head out.  You can kind of see Sky in the background.  Sky and Andrew probably spent the most time snorkeling.

Andrew has always wanted a SUP board, he hasn't talked me into that yet.  I figured that I would at least let him rent one for the day while we were there.  He loved it and so did the kids.  We rented one for a few hours one day and then rented another one a different day.  They are pretty fun.  You definitely need to have some balance.  The kids were up easy and had a blast.  Sky and Tay were able to go out themselves, and Cam loved to sit on the front and let us take her for a ride.  While we were out paddling around we got to see some turtles.  I'm glad we did that.

These two had a ball together.  They are alike it is crazy!

The girls spent hours digging in building in the sand.

I loved Drew's hair while we were there.  The humidity made her curls go crazy, and she looked so cute.

Drew was great on the trip.  She played and played and then took a nap on the beach.  This is what I love to do on my vacation too.
