Utes vs. Cougars

Saturday was the annual Utah vs. BYU football game. This year it was 2 months earlier because of the conference switching, and it was kind of weird. Our family of course has to get into it, with A being a BYU fan, and me being a Utah fan. The kids get into it as well. Lucky for me, all the girls have followed the true course, S unfortunately has gone to the dark side ;) This year was really fun. The kids were super excited and made decorations for the house, and there was some smack talking going on, mostly from S. When the end came the Utes of course came out victorious 54-10. It was kind of a weird game. Usually they are close, but this one was a blow out. The kids all fell asleep before it was over, so they didn't know who won until the morning. When S came up the next morning (with his BYU sweatshirt on), T told him the utes won. He said, "What, are you joking?" I told him to check out the score in the paper. When he looked at it, he couldn't believe it. He just turned the paper over so he didn't have to look at it anymore. It was really funny. He took it pretty well though. You boys can always look forward to next year.

These are some of the decorations S made.

Here is one of T's decorations.

I decided to make some fun sugar cookies for the game. S wouldn't touch the "U" ones.

A great shot of D and S. When BYU scored their only touchdown, she heard all the boys yelling and getting excited, so she started cheering too. It was funny seeing her cheer for BYU with her Utah shirt on.

Dad is still working on getting this kid to be a BYU fan.
