Every August A's family holds a family reunion in Lava Hot Springs. It is a lot of fun. There isn't a whole lot to do there, but it's fun to catch up with everyone and see them. The kids love going to the big pool, and hitting the hot pots at night. They have a couple of big water slides that are fun, diving boards, and platforms. This year S decided that he wanted to go off the second highest platform. This kid has no fear, I guess he gets that from his dad. Anyway, A went off it with him once, and one of his cousins went off of it with him too. I don't know how many times they went off it, but it was a ton. It was a fun weekend, but it makes me miss A's grandpa. He is the one that always pushed to get everyone to Lava. It was so important to him to spend this time with all his family. He was an amazing man.
The next weekend we went camping with A's family. We do this once every summer. We always have a blast. The kids have so much fun with their cousins, and we have fun hanging out and relaxing. It's nice as the kids get older, and help out with the smaller kids.
The kids had a blast painting rocks (don't worry, it was washable paint).
And they had a blast playing in the river and floating down it. C and T floated too, but I didn't get my camera soon enough, and they wouldn't do it again. I think S and his cousins floated at least 10 times, maybe more. They did it all day.

Yes, we do take D with us. She is a great camper and traveler. She just goes with the flow and hangs out.
Here are some shots of the kids with their Uncle T. He is a very fun uncle. The kids, especially S think he is the coolest. (Probably because he is still a kid and hasn't grown up yet).
