Camping and Fishing at Strawberry

This past weekend we spent our first camping trip in our new trailer. We were so excited to go and try it out. We have more room now, and the kids have bunk beds. We had a blast!! It was a fun trip because we didn't have a lot planned. We went with some friends and hung out at camp a lot. The kids played with their friends and had a great time. It's amazing what games and ideas these kids can come up with. Oh to be a kid again.

We went fishing a couple of times which the kids loved. We are not the best fishers, but lucky for us our friends knew what they were doing. No one in our family caught a fish, but our friends 7 year old girl did. It was fun to watch how excited the kids were to see the fish reeled in, and how disgusting it was when the dad gutted it and cleaned it out. Of course S thought that part was cool. C cried, I don't know if she felt bad for the fish, or if all the excitement of the catch scared her. I think she was scared. It was a fun trip, and nice to get away for the weekend. We are so lucky that we are able to go quite a bit, and that my kids love it. We have had so many fun camping trips over the last few years. We have also made some great friendships with the families we camp with. We look forward to many more!!

C even wanted to fish, and she
is so independent that she
wouldn't let anyone help her. Poor
A had a lot of untangling to do.

Glad the bunk beds are great...gotta be better than folding up beds every morning before you can get to the kitchen. :) Or you could just use a tent like me. Then you don't even have a kitchen. It's WAY easier. :) ahahahahahaha.... Cute pics of A and the kids fishing.
