Camping in Sun Valley

Last week we went camping in Sun Valley Idaho with some friends of ours. We had such a blast! I had never been there before and it was so beautiful. We usually try to do at least one longer camping trip each year, so we spent 5 days there. I don't know that I would enjoy camping as much as I do if we didn't have our trailer. It really makes a big difference with little kids. You always have a toilet, and you can give them a bath at night. It's also nice when it rains, you have somewhere to hang out. The first day we were there it rained quite a bit. I was a little nervous, because our last camping trip it rained almost the entire time. I love the rain, but keeping the kids couped up so long can drive anyone crazy. They like it better to when they can play outside and explore. After that first day the weather was great. A little cool, but no rain!! We went on some fun hikes. We went to a really pretty lake. It's amazing how beautiful and peaceful it is in the mountains. Luckily my kids love hiking, so it's fun. We got the two older kids there own camelbacks, so they think that is great. C loves to ride in the backpack still. I don't know how much longer that will last-hopefully through the summer. The boys also did some mountain biking. S was in heaven. That is all he wanted to do. He got a new mountain bike 2 weeks ago and is so into it. He spent most of the week riding his bike. It is a lot eaiser for him to climb hills now. He is just like his dad. He is so active, and loves to be outside. I think that everyone had a good time. Here are some shots from the trip.

I'm glad that I don't have to
carry her!

A side note: I taught S how to mow the lawn last week. It was
a great day for me, and him. He was so excited to do it. He had the
biggest grin the entire time he mowed.

What a fun weekend. How awesome is it that you have a built in lawnmower?

Glad you have a blog, hope you don't mind if I read it from time to time.

I hate to dissappoint you honey but he learned how to mow the lawn about 5 years ago. I will get you the picture. Dad
