We were lucky enough to be invited to Lake Powell with some friends this year. The kids had to miss their last week of school, but they all were fine with that. We couldn't have picked a better week to be there either. The weather was great and the water was a lot warmer than we thought. The kids were so excited to see what a houseboat looked like, they just couldn't imagine it. They ended up loving it, and we had so much fun. What could be better than eat, sleep and play all day.
Drew and Andrew hanging out in the water.
Sky loved every minute there. Every chance he got he was out in a boat. He did great on the wake board and even learned how to slalom.
I even wake boarded
Andrew trying out the surf board.
These pictures are of Camryn water skiing. I was so proud of her for trying. She didn't every get up all the way, but she tried. Next time I think she will get up.
Taylor was kind of a stinker about water skiing. But we made her do it, and of course she popped right up.
Drew loved playing at the beach. We built a lot of sand castles, and dug a ton of holes.
These next few pictures are of the kids cliff jumping. I don't know how they get their courage sometimes, but they did it.
This is Tay
Camryn
Skyler was really brave, and jumped off a huge cliff. I didn't think he would actually do it, but he did and he loved it.
One of the nights we did a talent show. The kids were so funny. They practiced all day and we so excited to perform for us.
Freeman and Camryn did a dance. It consisted of Camryn doing a lot of tumbling, and Freeman doing some pretty sweet dance moves. The ending was the best though. Freeman picked Camryn up under her arms and they did a final pose. Luckily, we got it on camera. It was so funny.
Drew did a silly dance.
Taylor and Sedelle worked all day on a tumbling routine. They make these up all the time at home too. They were really cute.
Sky did his famous "alien" with his stomach.
It was such a fun trip and a great way to start off our summer. We are lucky to have such great friends to hang out with. We hope to go back another time.
