I have always loved Valentine's Day, and I love to try and make it fun for my kids. We always make sugar cookies a few days before and the kids like to decorate and eat them.
I love this shot of Drew busy decorating with her tongue out.
While we were decorating, we had a secret admirer drop some treats off at our door. They left some yummy treats, and a cute note. The kids were so fast to the door and thought they knew who it was; but they were wrong. Thanks to our secret admirers.
For breakfast I made some pink heart pancakes, and then sent them off to school.
Here are the Valentine boxes that they made. Taylor's box was super easy and she had fun making it. Skyler has used the same box for the past three years, bless his heart. And he told me he was going to use it again next year-Yeah!!
For dinner I wanted to do something a little different and fun. I made a pretend restaurant for the kids to come to. It was a lot of fun. I put together menu's and set the table all fancy.
The kids waiting to be seated.
Pretty fancy table right?
Here is a look at the menu. It was a fun dinner. The menu was not your normal menu, the items were a little confusing. You had to pick a number for each section. There were two appetizers, four main dishes, and two desserts. Depending on what you picked, you could end up with dessert first. I think Drew ended up with her dessert first. Skyler ended up having steak first but no silverware to eat it with. The kids had a lot of fun, and said they hope Cupid's Crazy Cafe is open again soon.
