California Part 4

On our last full day before going home, we had another beach day. It was a nice break from the craziness of Disneyland. We had so much fun at Disneyland, but we also had a lot of fun at the beach. It was another relaxing day. The kids had a blast playing in the water and building whatever they could think of. Here are some more pictures. Sorry for the overload again.

Uncle T spent an entire day making this relaxing retreat. He dug holes for the chairs and the cooler, made a pretty back splash out of rocks and even built it up with rocks. I wonder if he will ever grow up. Good luck Kirby.

A look a little further away. He was so proud of himself. It actually was really cool.

A and my brother trying to body surf. Most of their attempts didn't turn out well.

T getting pulled in a wave. She loved the water and had so much fun playing in it even though it was freezing cold.

She almost went all the way under.

Hanging out on the "patio".

A and my brother had a lot of really smart ideas this day. This was definitely one of them. They decided to take a kayak out into the water and ride the waves in. A was up first. The next few pictures are how it turned out. It was really funny to watch. We could not stop laughing. There was an older couple walking by as they started. They stayed to watch, and when A came up out of the water, they started clapping for him.

Getting ready to ride the wave in.

A is somewhere under the water. I think he rolled under the water for a little while and then came up with some beach rash.

We decided to take everyone on a whale and dolphin tour. I am so glad we did. It was so fun. The kids are still talking about all the dolphins we saw and how much fun it was. We went out on a boat for about 3 hours. We stayed out through sunset. It was so pretty. We saw a whale, hundreds of dolphins, and some sea lions. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Our family right before getting on the boat.

The kids with Uncle T and Kirb.

Dad and D. She was pretty good on the boat. She just never wants to sit still.

A picture of the whales tail.

The dolphins were everywhere. There were hundreds all around and under the boat. The kids loved it. They were pretty playful.

A shot of the sunset from the boat.

Can you believe I caught this shot?

I was a little slow on this one. I was hoping to catch the entire dolphin out of water. I guess we will have to go again.

After we got back, we roasted marshmallows around the fire and had some fun talks. It was a fun day.
