Christmas

I can't believe how fast Christmas came and went. Each year seems to fly by quicker than the one before. This year was a lot of fun, especially because the kids were so excited. Before we went to bed, the kids asked us what time they could come wake us up. We told them not before 7; they asked for 6:30; we settled on 6:45. S and T ended up getting up at 4:20. EARLY!! Luckily for us, they didn't come into our room until 6. I asked them what they did all morning. They told us they played rock, paper, scissors for an hour; then read their books for a while; then were tired of waiting so they came in and got us up. We told them to wait until 6:30. Right at 6:30 on the dot, they were at our bedside waking us up, so we let them head out and check out their stockings. After they finished their stockings, we woke D up and went downstairs to see if Santa came. I guess they were good this year, because he made a stop at our house. The kids were thrilled. S got a mountain bike, T got some skis, C got twinkle toes (shoes that light up), and D got a pillow pet. It was a fun day.

Getting ready to open their stockings.

The kids in their Christmas jammies.

D was so much fun this year. Once she knew what presents were for, you couldn't stop her from opening everything. As soon as one present was done, she went and grabbed another even when it wasn't hers. She was so much fun to watch.

All C wanted was twinkle toes. She had been asking for them since September. She was a little excited when she opened them up, and I don't know if they have come off her feet since.

Here is S with his mountain bike. This is all he wanted, and he was so excited. Santa wrapped up a box that had a note inside that said Merry Christmas, you have a surprise waiting for you in the play room.

This is T with her new skis. She can't wait to go try them out.

I think she liked her pillow pet.

Hanging out later in the day.

Trying out their new dipping dots maker they got from their Uncle T.

It looks like you guys had a great day. I love the picture of them all by their stockings, and the one of D with her pillow pet.
