First Camping Trip of the Year

So, we finally got out camping over Memorial Day. I think both the kids and A were having withdrawals having not been out yet. It was a nice break, and everyone had a blast. We decided to go somewhere close and not to high in the mountains. The weather ended up being nice, so that was a huge plus. We didn't do a whole lot on this trip, but I think that is what everyone needed. The kids had a blast playing with their friends and just getting dirty. The parents had just as much fun lounging around and talking. We are very lucky to have such great friends to camp with. We always have such a great time them, and the kids love it.

T made this all by herself. She spent a lot of time working on her "fort". It is amazing how creative kids can be. They also made a huge track with all the wood, and drove their cars on it.

D did great on her first camping trip. She is such an easy going baby. She slept great, and just hung out with us during the day. We are very lucky to have such a great baby!

Doesn't this face just spell "trouble"!

We did end up doing one hike. It wasn't a long one, but the kids had fun. One dad showed the kids how to cut up a cactus and let all the kids try a bite. They all said it tasted like a cucumber. They also caught a few lizards on the hike. We never seem to have a shortage of lizards on our camping trips. It was a fun weekend away. We can't wait to get back out again.
