Playing Catch Up

It has been a while since I have actually had time to sit down and write about what we have been doing. Life never seems to slow down for us. I guess that is good, it keeps us from getting bored. Most days I look back and wonder how the day passed so quickly, and wish I had a few more hours to get stuff done. So I guess now is a good time to do some catching up.

About two months ago, the scouts had a cake decorating contest. S was so excited. It took him a long time to figure out what the perfect cake would be to make. We finally decided that since he loves the Jazz, we should do a Jazz cake. It turned out good. He loved helping me decorate it, and was set on doing the throw back colors.

Back in April, we decided that we needed a nice weekend away. The kids were out of school, and we hadn't done a whole lot since D was born, so we packed up and headed south for a few days. It was a nice break. The weather was great. The kids had a blast swimming and playing at "Danger Park"(that is what my kids call the park).

Dad and his girls.

S using his clubs. He and his dad were able to go
hit a bucket of balls, and go mountain biking. What
more could a kid (and dad) want.

The first part of May we were finally able to bless D. A's brother who lives in California had a baby about 2 weeks before D was born. They made a trip up to Utah for her sisters graduation; so with most of the family here, we decided that it would be a great time to bless both babies. It was a lot of fun. It was great to be able to spend time with family and celebrate the birth of these two babies. I never realized how lucky we are to be able to bless our babies. I thank my Heavenly Father every day for watching over D those first few weeks. She has been such a blessing in our lives. She is such a great baby, and has so many people who love her. We are a very blessed family.

Our family at the blessing.

The two babies, aren't they cute!
